Mike Woodin is running for State Senate representing Pennsylvania’s 9th district, which spans parts of Chester County and Delaware County, including Kennett Square, PA.
Mike is a father, businessman, and community leader running to represent the next generation. He is committed to advocating for the restoration of prosperity, supporting strong and safe communities, and empowering families.
Mike is a respected business and finance professional with a background managing over $200 million in budgets and extensive leadership experience in public accounting, small businesses, higher education, and corporate America. He is well-equipped to provide informed insights, negotiate legislation to reduce wasteful spending, taxes, and overregulation, and help restore financial prosperity.
Elected in 2021 to the Avon Grove School District school board, Mike received bipartisan community support. He is also a founding board member of a local non-profit counseling center that provides mental health services to adults, youth (with parental consent), and families across the tri-state area, regardless of their ability to pay. Mike firmly believes in community involvement, which is a way of life for his family.
Mike and his wife Laura are raising three children, one of whom they welcomed through adoption. They value short bedtime stories, date nights, and the mornings when they make it to the coffee maker without stepping on Legos, just like any other family with young kids. They wouldn’t trade their family life for anything in the world.
